A little late getting to this, but please consider Pier 5 in the Charlestown Navy Yard for a waterfront park for the entire community. This could become like Piers Park in Eastie.
Why should such a spectacular piece of the harbor front sit behind an ugly chain link fence for decades? Thank you.
Kudos. This is a really fine idea. Converting an eyesore to something "green", environmentally friendly and adding something beneficial to the city and nearby community that can be enjoyed by many. Win-win. That Charlestown waterfront area has plenty of living spaces (condos, etc) already; this would complement all that.
Is this the most cringeworthy video by a politician since Mike Dukakis with the helmet on in the Abrams tank? If not, which one is worse?
