I was just curious about what happened to this informative blog, where Mayor Wu could have direct contact with her constituents. I liked the idea of feeling like I could directly connect to Mayor Wu with my concerns.

1. Remove any residency requirements

2. Do not send a fire truck, three police cars and an ambulance to the most minor of calls.

3. Staffing issues solved.

Even Mayor Wu can understand a simple argument like this, although he union overlords my object to killing the job.

Please address whether Boston needs all of its career firefighters and whether changing their schedule to 8-12 hour shift would negate the need for costly fireHOUSES. With a significant decline in fires, FF are unnecessarily racing EMS to medical calls in order to remain relevant. Those of us in the suburbs, need Boston to address this elephant in the room so we can move tax revenues to more prevalent community needs.
