I could be an old crank and wish that the stadium be demolished, olmsted’s overlook shelter rebuilt, the Shattuck campus be restored as parkland, the refectory rebuilt, the country park be de-golfed... But this is a realistic forward-looking development and congratulations to the Mayor and her team for brokering the deal.

Any thought of paving over part of our historic park would be a deal breaker, and we’ve been clear about that from the beginning! The goal is to coordinate parking nearby with direct shuttles & walking.

Hi Brendan, the first community meeting on White Stadium renovation, focused on transportation, will be tomorrow (Sept 26) at White Stadium from 6-8 pm. You can register here:

https://www.boston.gov/calendar/reimagining-white-stadium-transportation-person

It would be beneficial for you to raise the concerns you brought up during the meeting. A virtual meeting the next day (Sept 27) from 6-8 pm will be available for those who can’t make it in person.
